Don't know how I lived without it!!
I ordered two of the TomTom's in January - one for myself and one as a gift. It was great to be able to find out where I was supposed to turn without having to look at a map. The routes that this system gives are great. A month ago I purchased a new Chrysler that had a built in navigation system...I tried using both of them at the same time and TomTom won hands down so even though I have the built in model I only use TomTom!!!! By the way, I just ordered yet another TomTom as a gift for a friend who always gets lost and never wants to stop for directions...he loves it too!!!

This is our first GPS device. My wife mentioned she might like to try one upon hearing the words of encouragement fron a friend of hers. We recently went on a trip to Portland, OR and let me tell you, if your not familiar with a big city,THIS WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!! It will do anything it is asked to do. Addresses were right on. Freeway routing and changeovers were perfect. The only downside we have found so far is when you are in rural areas, the house numbers and rural addresses are off. It shows our house abouy a block and a half from our actual location, but overall, for the money, you can't beat it.TomTom ONE 3rd Edition 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Vehicle Navigator

the ONE is the one!
Personal navigation systems seem to have popped up aplenty over the past year or two. Along with the marquee brands (TomTom, Garmin, Magellan etc) several Asian manufacturers also came to the fore flauting their 'brand-effectiveness' through value-priced models. Last Christmas season, I was close to purchasing the original ONE, but held on for the 'next-gen'. In hindsight, what a decision it turned out to be!

the ONE is arguably the best value-for-money personal navigation model in the market today. Extremely compact yet packing a full 3.5" screen, precise maps, 3D atlas renderings, and crisp turn-by-turn directions, the ONE is a pocket-sized dynamo that delivers great performance. I know friends that use Garmins and have a gripe or two about the accuracy of the maps. the ONE is pre-loaded with US/Canada maps that has not let me down once since I bought it.

Another great feature for the Tom Tom models is the map-correction feature through their application, which is available free of charge for download. I synch the ONE on a monthly basis and routinely get corrections made by users to POIs, street intersections etc. It's very convenient and not very time-consuming nor does it require much tech-savvy.

A couple of minor gripes I've had with the device are:

1) battery life - even with the audio turned off, the ONE hasn't given more than ~2 hours of juice. Not a show-stopper, just the hassle of purchasing multiple cigarette jacks if you switch between different cars the way I use it.

2) I've found that the ONE routinely takes a good minute or two to synch up with the GPS satellites when the device first powers up. I've had it happen on freeways as well, and don't believe it's the known handicap of GPS receivers around city roads.

3) Text-to-speech - All devices in the market today seem to have reserved this feature for higher end models at premium price points. It takes a little getting used to anticipate distances in the real world based on the timing of the voice-over lady. Well, you can't have the cake and eat it too!

All-in-all, if you're shopping for a navigation system that you can rely on to actually get you to wherever you're headed without denting your picket, look no further than the ONE.

Nice GPS system
Tom Tom has a nice GPS. Easy to use, and works very well. I have found that many of the maps are missing streets and have not been able to add them. But overall, a very good entry level GPS.

one of the BEST things I've ever bought!
No, this is not a PERFECT device, but considering how little I paid for it (seventy bucks after rebate, refurbed model) I am extremely pleased. It has paid for itself countless times in just the two months that I've owned it. I have used it for medium road trips of 800 miles, and cross-country trips of 1800 miles, and for city trips of less than 30 miles. I think I'm addicted to it...couldn't imagine ever going without a GPS unit ever again, esp. for those long road trips.

No, it's not accurate 100% of the time. More like 90-95%. And when it comes to pinpointing an exact street address on that street, accuracy is closer to 50/50, by my estimation. POIs are not that numerous unless you pay extra for them, and a lot of the free stuff that you can download from the TomTom website like locations of gas stations, are pretty much useless.

The best use for this device is when moving to or temporarily staying in a new town. It's also great for long trips to keep you aware of where you are on your journey distance and time-wise (seems to make the trip seem shorter to me), when trying to find a specific address, when wanting to experiment with different routes or shortcuts (the One re-maps your route automatically), and when forced to take detours due to construction or accidents or traffic jams. I just LOVE never having to squint at a paper map ever again!

I also figure that anything which will lessen my chances of getting lost thereby saving me time and gas and money, or my chances of getting into an accident (when lost one tends to be nervous and straining to see signs and landmarks rather than being attentive of other cars, pedestrians etc.)---is worth every penny!

Some tips:

1. Activate the onboard compass. It's very reassuring to know that you're headed in the right direction, esp. when you've totally lost your sense of direction.
2. Set the speed alert to a specified speed rather than by local speed limits, since the TomTom's records of local speed limits is accurate only about 60% of the time, and outside of major interstates, half of the time unavailable.
3. The 4 display gauges I found to be most useful and chose were time until destination, distance until destination, arrival time at destination, and speed. (Above 50mph, I found that the TT's mph reading was consistently 3-5mph above my car's speedometer reading, but nevertheless it's nice to see it in the center of my field of vision instead of looking over or through my steering wheel.

Excellent product
It is an excellent product. There is no need to buy expensive nuvi 760, it serves the purpose for going from point A to B. Screen is bright and big enough. I dont think one should be paying premium cost for big screen. Voice is loud and clear there is no need to sync with FM radio. It also has detour option for adding stop just as nuvi 760. Bluetooth is excellent.

Only thing I didnt like is that Garmin didnt supply proper attachment for dashboard. One has to stick the plate on dashboard.

I am happy with the product.

Maps Not Complete
After much research I purchased teh Garmin 360, but I am sad to say that I am not as pleased as I had hoped. Even after the free update, the maps do not pick up many streets that have been existing for many years. On a recent trip from Indianpolis to Cincinnati, the unit sent me in the entirely wrong direction away from Cincinnati. Thank goodness I knew where I was going and made a correction.

The spoken name of the street works very well.

This IS your father's GPS device
I did a lot of research before I bought my Garmin nuvi 360, and I'm pretty sure that it's the best portable, GPS-dedicated device on the market at this price point. I like it. It's small, light, bright, sufficiently loud, easy to learn, and it's never gotten me stuck on the wrong end of a dark and dangerous blind alley at midnight. It even does fairly well in San Francisco, where streets are more like tiny, curvy capillaries than big veins or arteries. If you're determined to buy a portable GPS come heck or high water, stop reading, buy this one, and rest easy that you've made a sensible decision.

Having said that, I think that the reviews here are a smidge on the happy-happy side. I'm really glad that people love their Garmins, but I have to wonder...compared to what? If the comparison is with being lost, I give it 5 stars. If the comparison is with with Rand McNally, a hastily-printed Mapquest map, or your friend's distracted phone directions("Uh, you'll see a red building on the corner...no, no...it's white but it has a red ROOF, yeah...you'll know it when you see it, really"), ditto. If the comparison is with other portable GPS devices, then I say four stars, three cheers, and happy driving.

If the comparison is with what OUGHT to be, however (As in, if you visited Amazon review pages to see if it's worth buying a Garmin GPS at all, not whether you should buy a Garmin GIVEN THAT you've already decided to buy a GPS device), I have to knock one big star down and point out some areas of improvement for the good, hardworking folks at Garmin:

First, it just shouldn't take a dedicated-GPS device 10 minutes to find a satellite. If my cell phone can pinpoint my location in 5 seconds, the Garmin should be able to compete within an order of magnitude....or even two. All too frequently, however, I have to "trick" the Garmin into finding my location by plugging it in (if it's not already plugged in), unplugging it (if it is), or rebooting it entirely. Lame. Second, what on EARTH is going on with that ABCD alphabetic keyboard? Was the Garmin designed by 60 year old men who always had secretaries to do their typing? Seriously, the lack of a QWERTY keyboard is annoying and eats up my time. It's bad enough that I can't hook this baby up to my computer and download a bunch of Google maps...don't make me type slowly to rub it in. Third, the feature that allows one to type in the name of a shop or restaurant and be directed directly toward it without going through the intermediate step of entering the address has worked for me approximately 1 out of 10 times. Ten percent isn't a great hit rate, and when I got to 10 I just stopped trying. I'm sure this is one of the more difficult features, as shop names change frequently and cities have a high density of urban retailers. But basically, unless my goal is to track down the nearest Big Mac or bucket o' Colonel's special recipe (infrequent, to say the least), then this baby isn't helping me get to my dinner any faster. Fifth (am I really up to 5 already?), I have to point out that the design of the Garmin is underwhelming, to say the least. Yeah sure, it's small and light, but so what? Has anyone seen the iPhone lately? I'm not suggesting that the Garmin match Apple's gorgeous design standards or that they hire a designer from Herman Miller, a Koolhaus apprentice, a MOMA artist, or that guy who designs cool stuff for Target, but really. The Garmin is to what portable GPS devices could be as your mother's first home computer was to today's sleek designs. It could be a lot better. Lastly, the windshield mount that it comes with is pretty cheesy. Mine falls off a lot, and I've had to order a new mounting to avoid holding this in my lap while I drive.

In all, not a bad product and I'd buy it again, but it came out of the box feeling like Old Technology. I have this nagging feeling that it's going to be obsolete in a couple of years, and it's not going to age as well as an Edison. It's only really impressive if you don't have other options, and with iPhone and Google maps (and who knows what else) sighting down the personal navigation market, I have an uncomfortable feeling that my 250 dollar Garmin will get donated to Goodwill before too long.

Awkward handle assembly
The assembly to attach the handle to the press was quite awkward. It was not easy for one person to be holding a screw (bolt) with the driver, and at the same time, tighten the cap nut with other hand using a wrench or plier while the press base is on its side keeping the bolts, handle, and washers in place. You need another person to hold the screw stationary with a screwdriver from the back while you would tighten the cap nuts using an adjusttable wrench or a plier. For a woman who is not too dexterous like me in using wrench/plier and screwdriver at the same time, the assembly would be a nightmare. I would rather pay extra for the item with handle already attached to the press base.
Except for the assembly, the press works nicely cooking bacon, burger and other meats. For pork chops, if you make a few slits on the outer rim of the chops, they would not curl up in cooking.

Assembling

I usually hate assembling things and even though this was easy - it was annoying.....and with the nuts & bolts protruding underneath - it prevents it from laying flat on the sandwich. Annoying.

Great Product
I could use it a little larger for pressing bacon, but it is great for sandwiches.

Panini Press
I love my panini press! It's well made, easy to put together and gets the job done for a lot less than a regular grill. We recently had a get together where everyone wanted me to make panini's so I decided to get everything together and let everyone make their own. It was a rousing success so I plan on buying another one very soon.

Great tool for any task
First of all let me just tell everyone that if you buy with amazon.com you will get a genuine Swiss Army Knife. It came in a small silver box with two booklets. Furthermore, this is a great buy for anyone looking for an overall usefull tool. It is made of top quality stainless steel. All pieces fold out with great ease. It is the best bang for your buck with this iteam.

My pocket tool box!
This is my third Victorinox Swiss Champ. There goes 14 years! I only replace it when its very damaged. My old one was so abused that I broke the larger blade the rule and the outer red shell. So I decided it was time for a new one.

I'm amazed how sharp are the blades. I could never replicate the sharpening, not even with the Victorinox fine sharpening block.

It's my trademark to carry this knife at my belt while I'm working. I'm a ASE Master Automotive Tech. It's handy and helps me in 1000 of situations. The most memorable is a case when I was in a road trip and I broke the ignition key of my car when I had to make a stop to rearrange the luggage in the trunk. I was miles away from any facility. I used the scissors to pull the tip of the key from the trunk lock. Then I inserted the key on the ignition cylinder and then used the knife large screwdriver to turn the engine on. I was pleased and almost nobody believed when I told the history later.
This is my inseparable companion!

I only miss a longer philips screwdriver.

multitool comparison
There are already plenty of reliable reviews here, i just want to add a certain perspective/take on some of the qualities of this great knife vs. a "butterfly" multitool (in this case, the Gerber Diesel).

First off, size, obvious advantage goes to the Champ, its more compact and the tools included are about the same size when deployed. Some comments have said that this is too big for a walk-around pocket knife. To put it in perspective, its total size is similar to a cellphone, and it weighs slightly more than most phones... so if you can put a cell phone in your pocket, you can probably fit a Champ in there. Obviously this is no "razor" thin design... but it fits quite well in the pockets of my pants.
The other advantage here is its shape, which is much easier to throw in a pocket compared to the Diesel with its slightly irregular shape that could potentially rip or poke a hole in a pocket (which is why it includes a pouch, but I don't like carrying things on my belt).

Secondly, weight. my highly unscientific tests show that the the Champ is only slightly lighter than the Diesel. It has the weight of quality to it, and you get a load of tools in a very tight space.

Third, and this one is obviously complicated, are the tools themselves. If you find yourself in need of some serious torque and grip action, the Diesels large pliers win out. I also like the Diesel's half-serated design on its primary knife. The size of all the other tools is approximately the same (as stated above). The scissors on the Champ are superior but its sheer variety that really impresses me with the champ.
You get multiple screw drivers(similar to the bits included with the diesel), the VERY convenient "mini"/eyeglass screw driver included in the corkscrew, the almost famous tweezer, toothpick and ballpoint pen inserts, a magnifying glass, and the very cool (if rather short) ruler etched into the fish scaler.
Another cool feature of the knife that few have mentioned is that the screwdriver bits are actually designed for two positions, fully flipped open and at a right-angle to the handle of the tool. This design increases torque and it affords a more natural grip, and that's the real difference maker overall. This just feels better in my hand and makes me more inclined to use it.

Great product
I looked at several different options for distance finders and ultimately decided on this model for two reasons 1) it is tournament legal for USGA events and 2) it is the most accurate of the golf rangefinder products on the market. If you are considering the GPS systems, remember that they are often off by 3-4 yards and don't give you an exact distance to the pin. I've stood by my friends with the GPS systems and ultimately I am always more accurate. In addition, you can't use the GPS systems in USGA events. Don't purchase the the model with a slope calculator because it isn't legal for use in USGA events.

Fabulous Help on the Golf Course!

This product is VERY beneficial on golf courses where the carts do not have GPS and yardage markers are few and far between. Don't know what we did without it!

Great Product From Bushnell
I had used a bushnell viewfinder for years, and was completely satisfied with the product. However I recently purchased a Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Slope Edition Laser Rangefinder, and I am amased on how much difference and improved technology on this new rangefinder. This product is just outstanding and is truly enjoyable to have on a golf course. I would rate this viewfinder a 10!

Excellent product
Very easy to use and I find it faster than walking off yardages. I highly recommend this device to anybody who is good enough to need to walk off yardages. If all you do is look for the nearest yardage marker and then estimate the yardage, then it probably isn't worth the cost. The slope feature is also very useful on hilly courses. It has significantly helped my golf scores.

Bushnell Pinseeker 1500
I did a lot of research before buying the Pinseeker 1500 and can say I am 100% satisfied. Don't underestimate the value of the magnification also. My friend had a cheaper laser and when we were over 175 yards, his was very challenging to line up on the flag. The Pinseeker quickly gets the yardage for you which eliminates any guess work. That equates to one big thing in your game - confidence. It also stops your brain from wondering if you have the right club, etc. It's like having a caddy with you. Awesome product and should take some strokes off your game. Lastly, it's great pointing at the trouble and knowing how far that is to clear. That's as important as knowing the distance to the flag. What a wonderful tool to help you score better.

Perfect for what it was designed for
This is a good product, it is easy to use and produces a very strong spark that will light a fire even in the hardest weather conditions. I tested it while camping in a tropical rainforest in Costa Rica, and it simply worked like a charm. Can't complain about such a single purpose object with such a good design.

Great Product - Slight Learning Curve
This product is terrific.

There is a slight learning curve involved with this product that breaks down into two parts:

1) You must know what type of tinder to use for this. If it is not good enough tinder, it will not light.

2) Realize that short, very hard strokes with this is the key. Longer, slightly softer strokes do produce many sparks, but it is the short, repetitive strong ones that create very big and hot sparks which will ignite the tinder into a flame.

Really really cool, but not as easy as it's cool
The sparks fly high and are very impressive, but starting a fire with it isn't easy. The perfect kindling or lots of rubs from the firesteel are neccisary for a fire.
I'm giving it 4.49 stars because its a great device (it can get soaked and still work 2 seconds later), but not a 5 to make sure people realize that (without cotton balls) it does require hard work to start a fire. Although it probably gets easier with experience.

Works great
I got this and couldn't wait to try it out. A friend and I were walking around campus and we stopped and grabbed some dryer lint and some dead leaves and dried grass. I had a fire going in seconds. It works great; the cord is more than long enough for you to be able to use the striker with ease. The key is good tinder, straight up leaves won't catch a spark, get something like dryer lint or cat tail fluff. I love it, it was totally worth the money, and it will go with me on every outdoor outing.

Quality product, works pretty fast
It works quickly, well designed. The one thing they really could have done better is design a strap onto each one of the bits, so you don't have to worry about them getting lost.

Good Investment
This was a good investment - it's lightweight, easy to use when inflating and deflating (love that feature). I recommend it!

This is a 120V pump, not a 12V pump as illustrated in picture
Buyer beware--I used Prime to overnight an air mattress and what I thought was a 12v pump for a camping trip. What I got was an air mattress and 120v pump forcing me to go to the store to buy a battery pump because nobody stocks the 12v ones.

Very bad product
It developed a slow leak and now the pump has stopped working. I've only had it a short time and I'm considering sending it back if that is possible. I didn't keep the original packaging. It was an expensive experiment and I'll be buying a sofa bed for extra guests. 0 totally wasted.

Very impessed, thus far
I purchased this bed two weeks ago, fast shipping as almost everything I have purchased from Amazon. The bed didn't inflate as fast as was advertised, but still under 6 minutes and it is a full size queen, make no doubts. I bought it for company that will be visiting soon. Left it inflated for a few days and didn't see any pressure loss. Deflated it, so I could move some furniture around and it took similar time. Slept on it last night just to test and it was very nice. I'll keep my waterbed, but at least my company won't be uncomfortable sleeping on the couch or floor. Btw, I did get the mattress pad offered with it and it works nicely. No place to tuck sheets, but my queen size waterbed sheets fit perfectly. If spaces are tight, plan on this taking up a bit more space than 80x60 overall.

I love this bed.
I woke up with a horrible backache every time I slept in my old bed but didn't have the money for a new one. I looked online for airbeds and found this one. It has now replaced my old bed and I no longer wake up in pain. I have had to fill it up a few times but really if you gonna get mad over taking 2 minutes to refill your bed then just go buy another bed. The dogs have jumped on it plenty of times. SO far this is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. As far as the sheets, if you go near the corner of the bed the sheet does come up but for only 100 bucks you get a very comfortable queen size bed. It is definitely worth it and I would recommend it to all of my friends which I already have.

Great Bed
I purchased this bed after reading all the reviews for the different air beds. I was not disappointed. Our guest slept on it for 3 weeks and said it was one of the best "beds" he had slept on. It was easy to inflate and deflate. I would buy it again.

What a great product! Internal air pump is terrific!! Great all around....puts Aerobed to shame!!! I highly recommend this bed!

Great Drink Holder
I really like this, for holding my drinks and a few essentials, I combined it with a mesh bag to a hang off of my European Stroller that does not have any storage for Mom or Dad. The mesh bag also has cup holders, but I do not trust them. This one is nice and sturdy and works well, even on cobblestone roads that we wal
